What is a Kentucky mop?

The Kentucky mop is not much different from the string mop. What is different is the band that holds all the cotton fibers together neatly and makes the whole thing flatter, causing more friction. Then again, this does result in better cleaning results. The mop should be wrung out in an accompanying moppers. Often the buckets are already provided with a pressing system on them. Again, the disadvantage is that cleaning is often very wet and the cotton fibers do not have the dirt absorbing ability as the microfiber mop.
